Lock and Lock Products

I have been using their products for quite sometime now and I loved it. I am a proud owner of their water bottles and food keepers. It’s more expensive than other brands but the quality has been tried and tested. Their food keepers are the best. They stand true to their words..."Absolutely air tight...Liquid tight…dishwasher and microwave safe". These items can last for a very long time.

APS Mid Year Outing and Sports Fest

July 6, 2009 ~~ Our company held its annual company outing and sportsfest. It used to be two separate events but this year we did the event all at one outing. Our outing was held at the Leisure Coast Resort in Dagupan, Pangasinan. It was a fun day full of different activities like parlor games, basketball, volleyball, and Mr. and Miss Hotshots 2009.

It was a really great weekend. I wish I could bring my son along.

I recommend this place for family gatherings and outings. The resort is quite big with different pools including a wave pool that will make your stay more enjoyable.

4th of July Weekend...Coming Soon...

I have one more night to sacrifice before the week ends.

Since we follow the US time, we don't have any work on friday night. It's a holiday in the US. They will be celebrating 4th of July which is their Independence Day. It's going to be a big celebration for Americans. How I wish that someday I can personally observe this celebration. I am amazed with how people can be united even once in a while. With a lot of negative things going on around us, there is still something to look back to and celebrate about.

In the Philippines, we celebrated our Independence Day last June 12. Unfortunately, we needed to go to work (but it's considered as double payday for us! yahoo!) since we follow US holidays instead.

ADVANCE HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO ALL AMERICAN READERS....

CHOCOLATE ADDICT

I have been an avid fan of chocolates for as long as I can remember. I love chocolates and I was craving for it the whole day. I have a cousin who doesn’t like to eat chocolates. He doesn’t have any valid reason – he just doesn’t like it. I was waiting for an answer like – it’s too sweet, he likes only dark chocolate or something similar to that.

My work starts at 6:00pm. I’m currently on training for a new account (I work in a BPO industry – in other terms Call Center). When you are on training, you usually get bored with the whole 8 hour lecture. I know my trainer has been trying her best to liven up the class and wake up all the trainees since we need to be awake until the wee hours of the morning. Chocolate and Coffee became my best friends. It seems I can’t go on without my best friends.

Working in the night shift can be tiring…dehydrating…stressful…

Coffee keeps me awake but Chocolate fulfills and satisfies my night.

123456789

I received a text message from two friends about August 7, 2009. I was fascinated with it and wanted to share it with everyone. Here's a copy of the message forwarded to me:

"At 12 hours, 34 minutes, and 56 seconds on the 7th of August this year (2009), the time and date will be

12:34:56 07/08/09

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

This will never happen in your life again...Be the first to tell them"

I thought that this message was very cool!!! The are a lot of creative people out there who can come up with this kind of mesages.

The Death of Micahel Jackson

The death of Michael Jackson stunned everyone. The king of pop is gone and the only thing that remains is his life story and music. He has played a big part in the recording industry with unforgettable songs like Thriller, Bad, and Ben. As per the news that came out, he was found in a state of coma at his rented house in California and may have died of cardiac arrest. Cardiac arrest, commonly known as heart attack, is one of the most deadly and a silent killer.

People were so busy reading news about his sudden death when in fact this is his second death. News of the police finding the body of the real Michael Jackson buried in his own ranch, Neverland, became a headline in the internet. Based on the investigation, Michael Jackson died 15 to 20 years ago from 2005. Evidence was based on his dental and DNA records.

Now, I'm having second thoughts on who is who.

Who is the real Michael Jackson?

With two corpses on the news

...let's just pray for both of them that they may rest in peace.

Ice Breaker

I'm currently on cross training for a new account in our company. Our usual perception of trainings is that its boring, no fun at all, and something that we should be attending before we start our new job or assignment.

Our trainer has a very good habit of enforcing ice breakers during training to wake everyone up before proceeding. One of the best ice breakers that we had for the class was teaching everyone how to do a very simple dance.

Of course, I didn't join (I have two left feet...)...I stayed behind the camera

Happy Father's Day

I totally forgot that it was father's day last sunday. I failed to greet my husband, my dad and my friends. I feel so bad right now!!! I wish I can turn back the days and have my chance of greeting them again.

I have been living on my own (with my son and his yaya) for about three years now. My husband is in Singapore and he has been gone for the longest time. Not having a father figure at home might have caused my amnesia. My son was just year old when he left and now he is four. The last time I spoke with him, he has no idea when he is coming home.

I have noticed that television has not been advertising the "Happy Father's Day" occasion compared to Mother's Day. Are mothers more special? I'm not sure if you noticed the same thing. Television plays a big role with constantly reminding us of special celebrations within the family.

Back to School

In the Philippines, all schools require every student to wear uniforms usually from Monday to Friday. Some schools would allow students to wear any attire during fridays. Of course, rules still apply with that provision. I remember that we can't wear short shorts, mini skirts, sleeveless shirts and the like to avoid harassment and for our protection. Some students follow the rules, some don't. For me, this is a good move for schools to identify their students and also increase security.

I love the nursery uniform of my son. He looks like a sailor in this outfit... I think all he needs is a hat.

Finally

FINALLY...after a long time of not being able to write anything on this blog...I feel so excited right now. A lot of things happened during my "IDLE" days and I'll be writing it one by one. I don't want to bore you with how my life has been going and what's keeping me busy these days.

First off, my baby started school last June 1. Just like any mom...I was more excited than my son. I got up so early in the morning just to prepare his school things and snacks. His classes doesn't start until 10:30 am and here I am so alive at 6:00am and keeping myself so busy.

We were so early when we got to his school and since it was his first day, the classes were held for only one hour instead of two hours. I ended up treating him lunch in a fastfood chain and doing our stroll down Session Road.

My son cried on his first day...I cannot let go of him but I needed to. Separation anxiety was the real killer for that day.
